MIDWIFERY IS…
BELIEVING in the extraordinary ability of a woman’s body. A healthy woman can give birth naturally with as little intervention as she chooses.
TRUSTING that women are capable of making the best decisions for their health and the health of their babies; I believe that cultivating an informative dialogue with families and offering evidence-based care is essential to ensuring women are fully informed of all their options and confident in their decisions.
EMBRACING the joys of pregnancy while recognizing its physical and emotional challenges; I believe that a midwife must be a committed partner in a woman’s care, helping her make sure her needs are met.
ART AS WELL AS SCIENCE I believe in the wisdom of holistic care. Herbal medicine, complementary alternative medicines, and chiropractic care, in addition to to sound nutritional counseling, are all vital in achieving optimal health and wellness in pregnancy and beyond.
EMPOWERING women to discover their strength; I believe that giving birth is a rite of passage for every mother. A woman must feel respected, dignified and supported to birth herself into motherhood. It is a privilege to care for pregnant women and their babies and I am humbly honored to walk women on their journey.
